1st: Turning IFS into a nonprofit…

http://www.frontlinesms.com/2015/04/06/purchasing-levitra/

I recently walked into a Rubio’s restaurant for breakfast due to a lack of better options. My attention was drawn to a brochure about fund raising for an organization. You sign up on the Rubio’s website and tell everyone you know to eat there on a specific day. Rubio’s then donates 20% of the proceeds to the organization. Of course I became overly excited about this since there has been recent discussion of an I.F.S. fund. There are many other businesses that do this and being in many different areas we can accumulate a good amount of cash for our trips.

Now here is the catch, the website asked for the organizations ID number to verify it was a real non-profit. So I purpose we turn IFS into a nonprofit. There are many benefits to turning IFS into a 501(C)(3) and incorporating. Of course it will take a while to make the necessary steps. So I think we should make careful and incremental steps over the long term. This is too large for any one minister or individual (even Ol’ Glory) to handle, so there should be a special committee formed to identify all the challenges and benefits a non profit will present. This committee can help the society determine if this is the direction we should go in.

2nd: Quorum
I think the next official meeting should discuss the percentage of quorum (which is the amount of ministers necessary for an official meeting). Right now quorum is set to 2/3 but there was talk of lowering it in case we can not get the 2/3 ministers to a meeting and take care of business.

3rd: Pictures
I made a sweet power point slideshow of the Arizona weekend and tried to post it but unfortunately it was too large for the post and for email. If you haven’t seen the pics yet I put some sweet ones up on facebook. Check it out! I will try to burn the power point to a cd and get it to everyone by the next meeting.

I will add this stuff to the agenda for the next meeting and we can have a discussion on it then. Until then…

Good night and good Flapjack!

No one better try an’ rip off our Non-profit! I’ve seen a lot of Non-profits ripped off in the past, but not here, not us. No one’s gettin’ ripped OFF! I’m sick of people gettin’ RIPPED OFF!

Ok, just checked out that website…wonder if this can work with your charity event Letters? A Rubio-KJEE thing in SB?

Great work Philanthropy. And I love Rubios…so no problem pushing their product for me. Best deep-fried fish taco chain around.
