The Constitution, Parliamentary Procedure and Philanthropy

Here it is boys the Constitution of the International Flapjack Society. This was voted on in the last meeting. If any of you have any corrections or additions to make it more conducive to our organization bring it up at the next official meeting and we can discuss and vote on it. If you have any official business send it to me at, so I can make an agenda for the next meeting.

I also found a quick manual for the basics on parliamentary procedure to make the meetings go smoother and more efficiently. Its called the ABC’s’ of parliamentary procedure and it has pictures! I looked for a pop up book but couldn’t find one. Everyone should take a look at it. This will answer any questions you might have on discussing and passing important issues like, should the organization adopt a mascot? (Wait I forgot about Hank, sorry Mike)

Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for P101.jpgAs far as Philanthropy goes I was introduced to Kiva, a website where you can lend money to entrepreneurs from very impoverished countries around the world. These loans are used for businesses like farming, clothing stores, housing repairs etc. The loans are paid back to either reinvest in another entrepreneur or cash in. Naturally I will look for a strong individual who has the foresight to sell flapjacks to their fellow countrymen. (It’s tested recession proof!) This website also allows you to create your own team…That’s right Team I.F.S. breakfast and loans. So instead of just giving handouts to starving children to do extracurricular activities like go to school or eat, we can give money to responsible hard working individuals taking part in the free market. Anyway more to came on that, the website is below in case you want to check it out.

Can’t wait to see all your faces at the next meeting

side not: do not flick a cigarette out your car window on the way home from Zodo’s as well…you will receive 8 hours of community service and a $400 fine…that’s a treacherous stretch of highway

boys, never drive home after drinking. after a night at zodo’s tonight, a cop flipped a bitch behind me while i was at a red light and kicked it behind me, but fortunately the light didn’t turn green for 5 minutes, and finally he pulled along-side us to acknowledge that the light wasn’t turning green, and in our haste, told me to speed through the oncoming red light. he was a cool dude, but we all won’t be so lucky. no drinking and driving, y’all.

Rousing brings up some important issues. There is nothing pertaining to changing titles in the constitution so it should be an action idem on the agenda. We need to rabble and vote on it. There should also be a link to the constitution and a record of the agendas on our website. I’ll work with M+T on this.
Competition helped out a lot with the constitution so if we can collaborate again with the agenda that would be sweet.
Lastly… Mike I’ve told you repeatedly that calling me “cute” makes me feel really uncomfortable.

Wow, great work Philanthropy…do I call you Philanthropy now, or have you changed your title to be more Parliamentary related? On that note, how do we go about officially changing our titles?
I’m really bummed I won’t be there for another efficient and effective meeting, thanks to your hard work Phlanthropy. I’ll have MOH bring the MOM trophy…since I’m over here, I guess the MOY, my VC, will have to moderate this meeting, wish I could be there.
Also, where’s the official post? Does the Agenda go with that?
    Have fun slangin’ rocks IFS!
