It’s the Family Dinner…

…we do it every Sunday.  Yes, that’s right, just about every Sunday evening the Franklin house and a few close friends gather round the dinner table for delicious food, stimulating conversation and exquisite Gallo Family Vineyards wine.  And we always follow up our feast with a good time – like throwing rocks at Pico Bowl, a stoned game of Monopoly, or billiards, Buds and Shania Twain at the Joker Bar.  Here’s some illustrations:

Now that you’re all caught up, I, Rousing, would like to extend an open invitation to IFS and all friends of IFS for Family Dinner this Sunday, April 22nd.  Dinner will begin at 5:15 pm sharp, so be sure to show up by 5:00 pm.  Of course, I’ll be preparing dishes from my homeland: Penne pasta with alfredo sauce and spicy Italian sausage, garlic bread, and antipasto salad.  The dress code is business casual – so that means no jeans boys, and skirts or dresses for the women.  Typically, guests bring some sort of gift, usually wine – we prefer Gallo.

Afterwords, we’ll be attending a film noir double feature of "He Walked by Night" and "The Killer that Stalked New York" – playing at the Egyptian Theater, Hollywood, CA.  These two gems are part of the Noir Nights film series that the American Cinematheque is conducting at the Aero and Egyptian movie houses.  Amanda, Ben, Booman, Fricker, Juliya and myself were lucky enough to attend the opening night of the series, catching MGM’s noir classic "Force of Evil" starring John Garfield.  Check out http://americancinematheque.com/  for upcoming show times.  And Schroeder, I’ll understand if you skip out on the double feature – you’ve already seen all of these noir flicks in film school, right?

Anyways, I hope all of you can make it.  Of course, these are only plans for Sunday night.  If any of you want to come into town on Saturday or Friday and hang out for the whole weekend – even better.   Hope to see you all, good flapjack,

P.S. Please RSVP (via comment or phone call) so I know how much food I will need to prepare.

Sorry about that. The movies start at 7:30 pm, and they’re both 79 minutes long. We don’t have to stay for both, but they both sound pretty strong.
